I used to work for a law firm; we always gave the process servers paperwork to be served in a sealed envelope to protect the privacy of individuals.
This doesn’t happen now. Is service of process somehow exempt from providing a reasonable right to privacy? My neighbor was just served yesterday, although only his sister was home at the time. Apparently it was to advise him of a judgment, and an attached affidavit showed his name, (unlisted) phone number, and social security number. None of this was in an envelope, but available for anyone to see.
With identity theft becoming such a common problem, this certainly isn’t a wise move. I can’t see that it is ethical, but is this method of service really legal and approved?
For what it’s worth, we are in Mesa, AZ. The company trying to collect is apparently not reputable, so he’s fighting this. I don’t have the resources I did, so if this provides additional ammunition, please advise! Thanks!

Just a quick refresher course lest we forget what has happened to many “friends”of the Clintons.
1-James McDougal – Clinton’s convicted Whitewater partner died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement. He was a key witness in Ken Starr’s investigation.
2 -Mary Mahoney – A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown. The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House.
3- Vince Foster – Former White House councilor, and colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock’s Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide.
4- Ron Brown – Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the topof Brown’s skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the air Traffic controller commited suicide.

Choice #1 The Outside the Wire Strategy: The goal here is to mix with the people to win their hearts and minds so that more Afghanis will be supporters of the Karzai government and less will be supporters of the Taliban. To do this, the main objective is to preserve the lives of Afghanis, to build roads for them, and schools and sewers, and wells, and hospitals, and community kitchens, and recreation areas. What we are seeking is a peaceful and civilized Afghanistan that treats all citizens according to written law, that respects women, that has free and fair elections, and that educates it children well.
Choice #2 The Inside the Wire Strategy — Our goal here is to disrupt any activity that could result in harm to US citizens in the USA. This means killing all persons engaged in above ground military training. It means destroying all weapons, explosives, poisons, and planning centers. It means killing all terrorist leaders. This is done from inside the wire at the Bagram Airfield, mainly by predator strikes. These strikes are guided by the National Reconaissance Office using extensive viewing and analysis both of which are skills we could develop. No human intelligence is used, so there’s no need for CIA or SEAL’s in country. Targets are found by overflights, Keyhole imaging, LANDSAT imaging, and sigint analysis. The theory is that anything or anybody in Afghanistan who could harm the USA would need to have at least some of their operations above ground. If they had to train or build significant weapons underground, there would still be above ground signs of where operations are being conducted. Thermobaric (cave buster bombs) can be dropped by A-10′s operating out of Bagram. All UAV’s can be operated from behind the wire at Bagram. This plan serves the interests of the taxpayers and citizens of USA by actually helping to improve their security by impeding and frustrating and killing real threats as they appear and become known in Afghanistan. This Whack-A-Mole approach does not have an exit strategy. It could go on for 50 years or more. It would entail approximately zero casualties for USA, and comparatively low costs, not more than $2 billion per year in country, and an additional $1 Billion per year to upgrade the skill sets of the NRO, particularly for overhead view analysis, and to hire staff to do the targeting work.
Benefits of Choice #1 Many DOD contractors make a lot of money
Drawbacks: Many US soldiers lose their lives
No significant enhancement of security for taxpayers and citizens in USA
Huge annual costs
Benefits of Choice #2 It’s cheaper, it spares US lives, it is effective in enhancing security of US taxpayers and citizens in USA. It is highly likely that after 15 or 20 years the Taliban and Al Qaida will just give up in Afghanistan. They will look for another place and move their operations there, as will we. In 50 years they will give up completely. They can’t spare the manpower or the cash. The only thing they really can do well is take potshots at US soldiers wandering around in remote villages in the highlands of back country Afghanistan. Once we stop playing to their strength, and play to their weakness (resource shortages), we are bound to win, although it won’t be quick.
Drawbacks: No hearts and minds are won
Not a very good Social Services Program for the Afghani people
The Taliban vs Karzai groups fight it out
Afghanistan never becomes a civilized nation
The Taliban always has some training camps in Afghanistan as does Al Qaida (but then they become a certain size they are vaporized).
One of these Strategies probably serves the interests of taxpayers and citizens in USA better than the other.

I went shopping with my wife today at QFC (Quality Food Center) where we were accused of shoplifting by store security (more like a separate security firm hired by the store). We went by a shelf of NIVEA cream for men and I was curious to the smell of the cream, not seeing any warning regarding breaking the wrap (foil wrap over the top after unscrewing the cap), I peeled a portion of the wrap off to smell the product. After that, I put the product back on the shelf after screwing the cap back on and went to shop other things.
After checking out at the self check-out and two steps after getting past the entrance, three security men blocked us off and accused us of theft. I admitted to peeling off a portion of the wrap and followed these men to the store office where they spent 1 hour filling out paper work. I offered to buyout the product and denied knowledge of that act being classified as theft (not seeing any warning regarding voiding of the product without wrap since there are other facial cremes without wrap/foil period), but they wouldn’t allow me to do that and proceeded to threaten with two choices:
1. Call the police and have them resolve the matter.
2. Sign a paper admitting to the trespass and they will bill me a fine of between $100 to $200 (the product was $8).
I wouldn’t sign the admittance paper and after they called their boss, they just had me sign a trespass notice according to which I may never set foot in the store again. However, they said that they still will send me a fine notice attached with a phone number and said that if I don’t pay the fine, I’d have to call the phone number to setup a court date.
When I left, I said “see you guys in court.”
Few things to state:
1. I did not know that breaking the wrap/foil/seal is classified as theft (no notice of it anywhere).
2. I did not have intent to derive the owner of the product.
3. If they notified me immediately that I would have to pay for the product, I would pay for it, the fact that they waited until I exited the store before cornering feels very much like entrapment.
I need help with this one guys, I feel like I am right. Maybe I shouldn’t have broken the wrap but I don’t think it’s theft. I am ready to fight this in court (admit but deny intent doesn’t classify it as theft, correct me if I am wrong)

A Mexican national was arrested Tuesday for producing and selling illegal immigration documents.
Pedro Altatenco-Luna was charged by the United States Attorney for the District of Delaware. He remains in federal custody.
Altatenco-Luna, 33, first became known to Delaware State Police after a suspicious package was discovered during a random inspection of a mail carrier by narcotics officers where police found 200 suspected fraudulent green cards. Inside the same package police found homeland security laminates with official seal and laminates for Mexican drivers licenses.
Wilmington Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers were contacted and both agencies searched a location in New Castle. Further evidence,officials said, was recovered included equipment used to produce fake identification documents, 1,000 document laminates, resident alien cards, social security cards and drivers licenses from Mexico, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
“Making and selling counterfeit identity documents such as fake alien resident cards and social security cards help illegal immigrants aliens, criminals and even terrorists evade detection and embed themselves in our society,” said John P. Kelleghan special agent in charge of ICE’s Office of Investigation in Philadelphia. “This case started with the Delaware State Police and is an excellent example of state and federal cooperation.”
Investigators also recovered typewriters, printers, cameras, computers, scanners and other document producing material.
“The Northern Delaware Drug Task Force, which is comprised of DSP and the New Castle County Police, worked proactively with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement to seize hundreds of illegal documents that would have infiltrated our society,” said Colonel Thomas F. Mac Leish, Superintendent Delaware State Police.

Effect of creation is called nature and being self processed. The procedure of processing is nature, which is created by effect of creation.
Now god is an existence and every part of god is managed by automatic system of nature .We are being managed by nature, which is called, “shakti”(almighty) and whole existence is called “shiva”. Respectively territorial parts of nature are called bhagwan\ deities. The prime soul of whole existing is “Ishwar”, which at present is in salvation position. Ishwar was and will be almighty at the time of starting conversion of element into creation and end of creation (kayamat). Then after he will be new creator of new creation .It is endless process and continuous process. Molecules of creation are being transformed into “Atma” by its nature.
At present nature is almighty .All molecules of creation are self managed and effected (controlled) by automatic system of nature. Nature is effect of co-existence of molecules (creation). Now we are under control of territorial bhagwans\ deities (Teritorial nature). keeping in view to above facts it is clear that at present god is an existence and being self processed by it’s nature.
Heaven\Hell is within the world and it’s atmosphere. This world is like a big computer and our soul is a curser.
Nature is not yet become perfect. She is partially negative also. She has desires for improvement, increase of her strength and capacity. She likes every thing as you compel to do by your nature. Now you have two ways, either you have to faith in your god or go with nature. Nature Involves enjoyment as well as punishment and sacrifice.Her every action gets reaction. So enjoy the life or strict in your faith in god. Who will certainly give you better position in next creation and you will be enjoy to infinite extent. If you are very bad man you will be toilet cleaner in next creation. So know your self and be cooperative and merciful to each other. Then, nature will also love you as well as god loves you.

Just a quick refresher course lest we forget what has happened to many “friends”of the Clintons.
1-James McDougal – Clinton’s convicted Whitewater partner died of an
apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement. He was a key witness
in Ken Starr’s investigation.
2 -Mary Mahoney – A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown. The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House.
3- Vince Foster – Former White House councilor, and colleague of Hillary
Clinton at Little Rock’s Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head,
ruled a suicide.
4- Ron Brown – Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the
investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown’s skull
resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being
investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with
prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later
the Air Traffic Controller commited suicide.
5- C. Victor Raiser II. Raiser, a major player in the Clinton fund raising
organization died in a private plane crash in July 1992.
6-Paul Tulley – Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead
in a hotel room in Little Rock, September 1992. Described by Clinton as a
”Dear friend and trusted advisor”.
7-Ed Willey – Clinton fund raiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the
woods in VA of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died
on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton groped her in
the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several
Clinton fund raising events.
8-Jerry Parks -Head of Clinton’s gubernatorial security team in Little
Rock. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little
Rock. Park’s son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton. He
allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files
were mysteriously removed from his house.
9-James Bunch – Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a
”Black Book” of people which contained names of influential people who
visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas.
10-James Wilson – Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging
suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater.
11-Kathy Ferguson- Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson, was found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head.
It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as
if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with
Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit. Kathy Ferguson was a possible
corroborating witness for Paula Jones.
12-Bill Shelton – Arkansas State Trooper and fiancee of Kathy Ferguson.
Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiancee, he was found dead in June,
1994 of a gunshot wound also ruled a suicide at the grave site of his
fiancee.
13-Gandy Baugh – Attorney for Clinton’s friend Dan Lassater, died by jumping out a window of a tall building January, 1994. His client was a convicted drug distributor.
14-Florence Martin – Accountant & sub-contractor for the CIA, was related to the Barry Seal Mena Airport drug smuggling case. He died of three gunshot wounds.
15- Suzanne Coleman – Reportedly had an affair with Clinton when he was
Arkansas Attorney General. Died of a gunshot wound to the back of the head,
ruled a suicide. Was pregnant at the time of her death.
16-Paula Grober – Clinton’s speech interpreter for the deaf from 1978 until
her death December 9, 1992. She died in a one car accident.
17-Danny Casolaro – Investigative reporter. Investigating Mena Airport and
Arkansas Development Finance Authority. He slit his wrists, apparently in
the middle of his investigation.
18- Paul Wilcher – Attorney investigating corruption at Mena Airport with
Casolaro and the 1980 “October Surprise” was found dead on a toilet June 22, 1993 in his Washington DC apartment. Had delivered a report to
Janet Reno 3 weeks before his death.
19-Jon Parnell Walker – Whitewater investigator for Resolution Trust Corp.
Jumped to his death from his Arlington, Virginia apartment balcony August15,
1993. He was investigating the Morgan Guaranty scandal.
20-Barbara Wise – Commerce Department staffer. Worked closely with Ron Brown and John Huang. Cause of death unknown. Died November 29, 1996.
Her bruised, nude body was found locked in her office at the Department of
Commees Meissner -Assistant Secretary of Commerce who gave John Huang special secrce.
21-Charlurity clearance, died shortly thereafter in a small plane crash.
22-Dr. Stanley Heard – Chairman of the National Chiropractic Health Care
Advisory Committee died with his attorney Steve Dickson in a small plane
crash. Dr. Heard, in addition to serving on Clinton’s advisory council
personally treated Clinton’s mother, stepfather and brother.
23-Barry Seal -Drug running pilot out of Mena Arkansas, death was no
accident.
24-Johnny Lawhorn Jr. – Mechanic, found a check made out to Bill Clinton in
the trunk of a car left at his repair shop. Lawhorn was found dead after his car had hit a utility pole.
25-Stanley Huggins – Investigated Madison Guaranty. His death was a
purported suicide and his report was never released.
26- Hershell Friday – Attorney and Clinton fund raiser died March 1,
1994 when his plane exploded.
27-Kevin Ives & Don Henry – Known as “The boys on the track” case.
Reports say the boys may have stumbled upon the Mena Arkansas airport drug operation. A controversial case, the initial report of death said, was due to boys falling asleep on railroad tracks. Later reports claim the 2 boys had been slain before being placed on the tracks. Many linked to that case died
before their testimony could come before a Grand Jury.

33-James Milan – Found decapitated. However, the Coroner ruled his death was due to “natural causes”.

pickup truck in June 1990.
35-Richard Winters – A suspect in the Ives / Henry deaths. He was killed in
a set-up robbery July 1989.
