Anyone Know Of A Good And Free Virus Scanner?

My brother put adware professional, online security guide, and security troubleshooter on my computer. Are these any good? Something keeps popping up talking about one of these isn’t good or something like that I can;t remember which one or what it exactly said. What should I use or keep or get rid of? Also My computer keeps messing up and going slow now too. The screen even turned white a couple of times.

  adaware is good, the others i would not prefer, adaware is not a antivirus, it is a antispyware, two good free online virus and removal scanners are bit Defender and Housecall, but they are only scanners and removal not permanate protection, i use AVG, adaware, and spybot .
