Samsung Impression Vs. Iphone?

I’m due to get a phone upgrade tomorrow, and I’ve been waiting for a while because I currently have the Samsung a737 and the keypad has fallen off.
After doing months of homework I went into AT&T today to look between the LG Xenon and Samsung Impression. I quickly dismissed the Xenon and one of the sales associates (an Apple user himself) started asking about why I wasn’t considering an iPhone (because I had been messing with one before looking at the other phones.)
The ~new~ iPhone is rumored to come out next month, and details will hit tomorrow, but the pricing looks like it’ll be the same - it’s supposed to have 258 RAM, 3.2mp camera, the battery life is increased and it might have iChat. I don’t know, don’t yell at me, that’s just what I’ve read. But that sounds great and anyone who gets an iPhone now would probably sadface when the new one came out.
The iPhone is $40 cheaper upfront, but costs $15 more each month for internet fees. And I already have a 30gb zune, so, I don’t know what I’d really do between iTunes and Zune or whatever.
But, my question is boiling down to which phone do you think about be better? I’m only a high school student. Obviously, my phone goes through some wear and tear, I’m a big texter/twitter person, I go on the internet a lot on my phone, I take pictures/videos on my phone often, and I need a good battery life for when I go on trips and can’t get to a charger whenever.
2 people I’ve talked to said yes, get the iPhone, one of my friends and a lot of people online say no. Could I get more input.

Are you embarrassed when you see our leaders [representing you] ‘bowing down’ to countries like Saudi Arabia? Take a look at the following story. I live in Ga. so this hits fairly close to home for me but this is a scenario that is being played out across the country.
Governor Sanford Announces Opposition to Coal-Fired Plant
Columbia, S.C. - February 11, 2009 - Governor Mark Sanford today announced his opposition to a proposed coal-fired power plant to be built by Santee-Cooper in Florence County, saying that projections related to the need for the plant need to be revisited, along with the potential for harm to the state’s environment.
“Everyone involved agrees that building this coal-fired plant is a short-term solution to bridge the gap between now and the time more nuclear capacity comes online,” Gov. Sanford said. “We have a great deal of respect for many of the decision makers in this process and many of the advocates who have pushed so hard for this plant to be built. To that end, I’d single out O.L. Thompson for his leadership of Santee Cooper, and given what’s at stake here I’d thank him in particular for his thoughtful approach to everything he works on.
“In that same vein, I’d respectfully suggest that the environmental community be equally thoughtful in making a choice. It’s simply not realistic to suggest that neither coal nor nuclear is acceptable, because like it or not, one or the other must come our way as our state grows over time. To that end, I’d ask the environmental community to indeed embrace nuclear power as an alternative to the coal-fired plant proposal, for the advantages it has in terms of cleaner emissions.”
Governor Sanford laid out four broad concerns about the coal-fired plant proposal:
- Construction and operating costs - On Friday, the Obama Administration said it intended to reverse Bush Administration policies related to not capping mercury emissions, with action carbon dioxide emissions expected to follow. Those forthcoming caps have not yet been factored in to the cost of building and operating the plant. For this reason on Monday, Nevada Power canceled plans for a $5 billion coal fired plant in that state.
- Pollution - The proposed plant would have a significant negative impact on air quality and increase mercury pollution. The plant would emit the equivalent of 2.3 million cars in carbon dioxide yearly, and nearly 15 million cars’ worth of particulate matter.
- Growth projections - Given Santee Cooper’s overall decrease in power sold last year and a statewide slowdown in new home construction, the growth projections that showed the need for the plant need to be revisited.
- Coal prices - Unpredictability in the global commodities market may make the coal needed to run the plant more expensive than originally anticipated.

IMO..The time for a half azzed approach to energy independence is long gone. Let’s get in gear and enlist the private sector to Make Coal Plants Cleaner! We have LOTS of coal so let’s get the damned things built! Same with the Nuclear Plants. If the wishy-washy French can do it then what about the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave! As we speak the Obama administration is pushing to put More taxes and Restrictions on the production and sale of Natural Gas! This is one area which shows real promise because of huge new deposits that have been found On Our Soil in the past few years.

The responses were provocative and wide-ranging. Many writers showed a willingness to see major cultural changes in California in order to improve the state’s bottom line.
• “Decriminalize marijuana for heavily-taxed sale in specially-permitted establishments,” stated one.
The war over marijuana has been waged for decades now. The current state of affairs in Northern California is that local authorities often look the other way, while the feds still consider the substance an illegal narcotic. Meanwhile agencies — both state and federal — bust large growing operations often linked to weapons and trespassing on public lands.
It would be a surprise to many if economic necessity became the deciding point in this debate. One pro-pot writer got his message down to the bullet points: “Force drug dealers out of our schools, end the power of the cartels, eliminate the budget deficit. Call your legislators today!”
• Similarly, one writer called for an end to the death penalty, as it would end the Byzantine and expensive appeals process.
• A few readers said it is time to let casinos operate more widely in the state. Surely it is true that tons of California dollars support Nevada government coffers after being left inside slots or on the felt at casinos in Las Vegas, Reno or South Lake Tahoe. But several casinos already exist within a morning’s drive of Napa.
Some ideas, such as the suggestion that what Napa really needs is an ice-skating rink for teens, never die. “Turn Alcatraz into a hotel-casino,” stated one writer.
• “Cut the time spent and pay of our state politicians from full time to half time, so they can’t create a bigger mess than what they have already done.”
The savings from instituting a part-time Legislature might not balance the budget, but then it might focus the mind when lawmakers are in session. On the other hand, whose to say that half-time lawmakers couldn’t make as big a mess as full-time ones?
• “Increase the tax on cigarettes $2 a pack. Increase statewide gasoline tax $1 a gallon. Increase all liquor taxes $2 per 750 ml.”
Ah, sin taxes. More may be on the way. But just to prove anything can be a wedge issue, one conservative commentator used this idea to skewer latte liberals: “$1 tax on a cup of Starbucks coffee. Double that if it has whipped cream or chocolate in it.”
That could balance the budget right there.

Can You Help Me Set Up A Formula On Microsoft Excel?

I am on microsoft excel and i am trying to put in a formula instead of doing all the work myself. The formula/scenario is this:
y=(600-6x) (10+.5x)
X equals the number of increases, which should start at zero, and end at 100. Y is the gross sales (in this problem the gross sales of fruitcake but that shouldnt matter)
so my table should look as described:
column A:
x (# of increases)
Column B:
Price
Column C:
# of cakes sold
Column D:
Gross sales (Y)
Hopefully i have given enough information for help! You can either give me directions as to how i should set up this, or do it for me and post it online or something.
The timesaver im trying to accomplish here is from having to take column B and go all the way down to one hundred, increasing from .50 each new cell. You could just tell me how to make it do that.

Small Cosmetic Business Advertising - Best Options?

I only sell through the website so I am weary of print advertising. My niche is 15-30 year old women.
I have tried:
Google Adsense - decent for the money, but the money goes fast, and I don’t like some of Google’s shady tactics.
Ebay - Works kinda, doesn’t get that many hits but it has increased brand recognition drastically.
Youtube - Works very well, tons of sales, but my camera broke, lol.
Huge Sales - Works but I lose profit drastically
Any other online advertising ideas? I need something fresh and original. I have too much competition to do SEO - it feels like a waste of money. So are there other options, or should I revisit some of the above? I don’t really know how to advertise on craigslist, so any info on that would help
+ Is print really worth it for my niche? It’s super expensive and I don’t see young girls reading much anymore.

Would You Pay $20 For The Last Few Levels Of Your Video Games?

Video game designers, developers, and manufactures have recently started a campaign against resale stores like GameStop and rental chains since they don’t see profit from secondhand sales or rentals. Even Bungie claimed large losses on Halo 3 because of video game resale stores. Game developers are now considering the option of making games to where you have to pay up to $20 (via unlocking the levels online) for the final levels of a game if you aren’t the game’s original owner. Some companies have taken the idea further to lowering the game cost at retail and making all of their games to where a $20 fee is required to unlock achievements/trophies and the games final levels. Game makers feel that this will increase their profits for their work and help to put an end to some forms of piracy. What do you think? Is this good for the video game business?
MY PERSONAL OPINION: If game developers are getting angry at the profit losses that they are taking because of resale stores like GameStop/EB, then they should stop feeding them promotional materials and focus it instead on pure retail outlets like Best Buy and Wal-Mart. Every time a game maker pushes a product with “bonuses” at a shop like GameStop, they are promoting the idea of selling it back to the store for resale when they are finished with the game. I have never been one to buy used games unless they are imports or for one of my older systems. However, I feel that a downloadable ending will limit the market more than game makers would like because there are still areas where the high speed internet connection that is required is not available or affordable.

ok well ive been using limewire for a while it makes you check this agreement to not copyright anythin well how do you know the songs or movies are illegal cause theres this artical there doing something about it here it is (At last, the music industry admits what we’ve known for years: That filing music-swapping lawsuits against teenagers, little old ladies, and corpses is a fool’s errand (not to mention an expensive headache for the defendants). But don’t worry—the RIAA has something new up its sleeves.
The new strategy (as reported by the Wall Street Journal): If the music industry finds out that you’re swapping music files online, it’ll send an e-mail to your ISP (agreements have already hashed out agreements with “some” unnamed service providers, apparently), which will in turn forward the message to you—probably with a little “P.S.” asking you to stop. [Update: CNET has a copy of the RIAA’s form letter to ISPs.]
If you don’t stop, well … your service provider probably won’t sue you, but it might slow down your broadband connection, or cut off your service altogether.
So, why has the RIAA changed the play? Well, maybe it’s been looking at reports like this one from the NPD Group, which shows that U.S. CD sales continue to slide, while the number of tunes shared via P2P sites continues to increase, despite all the litigation.
And then there’s the disastrous headlines, as the RIAA relentlessly tracked down and sued tens of thousands of alleged music pirates. Among them: Kids, octogenarians, and a few dead people.
Reaction to the news? Mixed. Engadget’s headline reads (in part): “RIAA finds its soul,” with the story noting that while the RIAA reserves the right to go after “heavy uploaders or repeat offenders … it appears that single mothers are in the clear.”
All Things Digital has a darker outlook, speculating that ISPs—which “care about the cost of moving lots of data around … [and] want to make money by selling, renting, or just offering up Hollywood’s movies and TV shows to subscribers”—might be more than content to “cut off file-sharers … [or] simply [charge] heavy file-sharers a lot of money.”
And here’s another possibility, courtesy of yours truly: Say your ISP catches you sharing tunes via P2P. No problem—download away! But when you get your next cable bill, you’ll find the itemized songs added to your monthly charge, kind of like an iTunes bill.
Call it the “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” strategy.
P.S. Make no mistake—just because the RIAA has stopped filing new music-swapping lawsuits doesn’t mean that it’s dropped the existing ones, according to the Journal. Quite the contrary.)

Struggling To Sell Shares Instantly - Any Suggestions? ?

Hello…
I have noticed when selling shares via an online share dealing account (in this case Halifax Share Dealing) that my attempts can be refused on the basis, I assume, of me trying to sell more shares than permitted at the given moment. As I understand it the vloume of shares that can be sold in real-time can vary throughout the day based on demand!
I have had mixed success with this. Sometimes I can sell 4000+ shares without a hitch and other times I am constantly referred to a “Negotiated Trade”.
Are there any Online Share Dealing sites that provide a more reliable service when it comes to selling shares. I would not have considered 4500 shares (£3,000 worth) a lot but there is a good chance I do not have perspective on this matter!
The pessimist in me assumes that the difficulty to sell large numbers of shares in one transaction is a strategy by the Share Dealing Service to increase a greater number of smaller transactions rather than a lesser numbers of larger transactions on the premis that this will generate greater revenue from commission fees! On the flip side I have considered that maybe a transaction for 4500 shares can only be quoted for and go through instantly if there is someone offering to buy!
Can anyone comment? Is this just the way it is or are there sites that provide consistent real-time/instantaneous share purchases and sales regardless of volume?

Do You Think Ford Or Gm’s Bailout Plan Is Better?

Ford notes that their company has sufficient liquidity to survive the economic recession as long as it doesn’t last too long, but requests a $9 billion “stand-by” line of credit in case they need it. Ford’s plan focuses on plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles, not mentioning hybrids and only briefly mentioning biofuels (flex-fuel vehicles).

Car Tent Sale Scratch Off Game Winner?

ok so today i got this invitation by mail to go to a car tent sale at the local dog track sponsored by some companies there like wachovia, well it came with a scratch off game i was supposed to redeem there and supposedly i won all three prizes which included gas money,3 nights in vegas, and an online shopping spree
it sounds so fake to me even though it assures people on the bottom that buying a car doesn’t increase chances, purchase not necessary, etc.
so basically i don’t buy it and i wouldn’t wanna waste my time by going over there and not getting anything in return
so anyone who encountered something like this before how’d it go?

Has Anyone Recived An Email From World Creative Studios?

Why Cant I Find Any Information On Prices Of Carabao? Even On Livestock Pages, Here Is Nothing On Carabao?

i bought my gfs farm to keep her from losing it as it was heavily mortgaged. i wanted her family to be able to return to getting some income from thier land and not lose it.now a carabao is needed to harvest, and yet here is a lengthy but pertinant question i posted on one of the many sites with carabao in thier name some stating they were a site dedicated to carabao information, after i gave up in frustration trying to find information on carabo: i think there are many sites that talk generally about the carabao, and as such this is typical and a good one, but while the philippine government is striving to increase the use of this oft called “underused” powerful draft animal and to help the low income farmer, by assisting in the increase, or rejuvination of the past populations of the carabao,also often spelled karabao, as there is no “C” in the tagalog language, or kalabaw its often called in the philippines,and trying to make more of them available to the farmers, i find it odd that nowhere on the internet, including the marami (sorry, many and varied)sites whos name suggests they would be the source of all information on the carabao, not one gives any clue what one might be expected to pay to purchase a carabao, for use in this very endeavour. i wonder are there indeed any statistics whatever available on the average cost to purchase a carabao, for a poor farm needing one to pull a cart with produce of the farm, and to become a well treated wllfed farmhand, basically a member of the family. this animal is the most widely used and best adaptd animal in the philippines for this purpose, and has the disposition for it, as long as he also get his leisure time to soak in the water and to graze on grass and lie in the shade,as he has no sweat glands and must use the water and shade to cool himself, and is, i think underutilized for the simple reason that it is difficult for buyers and sellers to get together. i mean think about it, the internet is the single best source of information on any subject any of us can think of am i right? and would be the perfect forum to assist in joining farmer and domesticated carabao for increased production on the farm and to insure both the caribao and the farmer will not go hungry, and yet i have searched for 2 months for any information on purchasing a carabao, and came up empty. the last last rather obscure listing of a price for a carabao, was in 1998, ten years ago, when the internet was basically in its infancy compared to today. it said the average price of an adult male carabao was 1,000 peso. someone told me on the street, that the price is now would buy a whole heard at 1998 cost. and yet the internet is silent on this matter, for the past ten years. even the livestock sales pagses have absolutely zero carabao, while listing marami pigs goats and other animals of lesser importance in the philippine economy. i wonder, wherein lies the basis for this virtual boycott of information on such a critical part of the equation to help reverse the “underutilization” of the majestic carabao, and the relatively low economic state of the philippine farmer, and put more food on the tables throughout the philippines. the simple increased availability and usage of the already present carabao would drastically improve both of these conditions,and to impliment this idea would simply require the sellers and buyers to be able to communicate and to look online and see the average cost a buyer might be expected to pay, and to create a little compitition in pricing as a seller wanting to sell might want to charge slightly less than the average price, and volia a whole new era and improved economy for the philippine farmer might be born, through this simple act.will this change alone stamp out poverty in the philippines, well no i doubt it. no one act alone has ever made a complete reversal of such a national problem, but it would help trememduously, inconjunction with the implimntation of the idea currently being batted around in the philippine government of allowing forigners to actually own the land they pay for there and develop, thus encouraging them to invest more, as thier investments might stand a chance of helping the investor also. those interested would all do themselves and the carabao a service of they would ad even a small amount of information on this subject to the best selling forum on the planet, the internet.
i posted a simple question on this matter a couple of weeks ago and got no answer. i wonder does anyone out there hjave any idea waht a carabao should cost, and where i might buy one in siargao del norte? the harvest of the coconuts must start soon, and there is no carabao. please help me help them, help me help them? sorry couldnt help the reference to jerry mcguire.

How is the company revenue distributed?

What happens if I’m unable to view and rate websites on any given day?

Personal opinion: From everything I’ve researched, Andy Bowdoin is a man of integrity who does what he says he’s going to do. He has a rock-solid business plan and experience based on verifiable and publicly available information. Everything is very transparent.
