Do Or Can Banks Restrict Amount Of Echecks Paid To Online Stores Such As Amazon?

I purchased something at Amazon and my bank refused to pay the online store the money owed for the item. The money that was meant to pay it is listed in the available balance on the bank’s online statement. Uh, so is my bank so tight on security that they’re not paying for expensive items that I purchase online?

First of all, are you sure? Online banking is not always immediate. A transaction can take a couple of days to show up sometimes. As for any limits on echecks, each bank can make their own policies on this. Check with you bank on any restrictions they may have so you can avoid this in the future.
