Filling Out The Last Four Digits Of Your Social Security Number On A Job Application Dangerous?

I’m filling out a McDonald’s job application online, and they want the last 4 digits of my social security number. I’m sixteen years old by the way. Anyway, my brother and mom are telling me that its dangerous and not a good idea to put your social security on the internet. Are they right? Can something happen?

Putting you last four digits, if it is part of the application, is pretty safe considering that their webite is super secure. “Can something happen?” Of course something may happen…..something may happen all the time. Does that mean that you should lock your self in the attic and never come out, because you are scared of “something”???

If you decline to list the last 4 numbers you will probably never get hired for any job anyplace.
