For Security Reasons, I Do Not Want Certain Contacts To See When I Am Online?

I have certain contacts whom i do not want to know that i am online. Can I keep them from seeing me? I am talking about my email contacts

    I assume your using Yahoo Messenger, If you right click a contact you can see never show this contact im online or if your in invisible mode vice versa
    if your talking about another messenger there might me one but i just never heard about it, on msn messenger if you set ignore they dont see you online, same for AIM messenger

    With MSN (and i would think with yahoo messenger aswell) you can download a plugin that enables you to talk to people even though your set to appear offline. so basically, you talk to whoever you want to talk to when you want to. they can talk back aswell =D

    the only way they can see if your on line is if you are on msn so change your setting to “appear off line” so that when you go on line it will not let anybody know
