How Can I Tell If My Couch Is Scotch-guarded?

My sofa was finally just delivered 2 weeks after I bought it. The delivery guys said the fabric protection I paid for was applied, but the store has been flaky about this purchase, so I don’t really trust it. There is no odor to the couch. I dropped a little bit of water on it, and it didn’t repel, it sunk in…so how do you know if something was scotch-guarded or not?
