How Do I Effectively Remove Online Antivirus Xp-vista 2009 From My Computer?

I need help. My computer has been infected with Online Antivirus XP-Vista 2009 and I can’t seem to stop its persistent harassment. The security alerts and fake scans are extremely annoying and are interfering with pretty much everything I try to do. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of this thing?
