You will need an internet connection at you home.
You will need a network cable to connect the dvr to your router.
You will need a static IP address or you could use DHCP.
You will need to set up port forwarding on your router so that you can access the dvr from outside the home network.
Again the DVR should have info on how to set this up if it has those capabilities.</description>

I would call them though because they are the experts.
