I Bought Norton Internet Security 2008 From A Store (not Online). Cant Get It To Install?
I bought Norton Internet Security 2008 on a store(not off the internet). i was having problems installing so i uninstalled old version of norton. now, when i put in the program CD, i cant open up SET UP. it says set up is complete. so, what do i do next? how do i open the program and get it started? when i go to symantec website they only help people who bought their product online.

I would not use it if they gave it to me and paid me to use it, you will have a very slow running computer with lots and lots of problems…..Avira free is better with no problems and does what it is supposed to do, and has a higher detection rate.
Try consolting the store you got it from.
ok then look in the c>program files >symantec folder. if any program is installed it will show up with the program files and u can start the antivirus. else it has an error. you should clean ur registry using any cleaner and then try installing it again
The best thing you can do with Norton 2008 is throw it in the garbage or take it back to the store that you bought it from. I used Norton for years with no problems at all. But the 2008 is next to useless. Within the first few weeks of installing it, my computer contacted hundreds of viruses.
It is not what it used to be. Try the free AVG. It works much better. http://free.avg.com/
There could be a problem on the SETUP file. Return your CD and to the store where you bought it and explain what happen. Let them try to install the software on their own computer and see what happens. If it install, maybe you just press the wrong setup file.
