Is It Safe To Use Proxy Url For Surfing Restricted Urls?

Is possible for hackers to hack my PC if I use the proxy URLs like Kproxy for accessing restricted URLs like yahoo groups, orkut. The yahoo groups, oklut are blocked in my organisation.
