My Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 Won’t Let Me Activate It Online Or Update, What Should I Do?

Posted by Conversion Expert | Online Security | Thursday 24 December 2009 5:51 am

I’ve tried activating Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, but it pops up a window telling me that the connection failed, meaning I am not on the internet. I have Wi-Fi so that doesn’t make sense to me and my computer still won’t allow me to go to their website. I’ve done system scans and have deleted the Adware/Malware found, but nothing seems to be helping my internet troubles. Anyone else have this problem before that has fixed it?

Many viruses today try to interfere with the downloading of windows security updates and the installation of antivirus and antimalware software. They interfere with the internet connection. They can block updates, thus making the antimalware or antivirus software almost usless. Some of the viruses are so sophisticated that they can render the new software ineffective during the download and installation process, before you ever get a chance to run the first scan. Remote programs and intruders can manipulate and control your computer so that nothing works the way it is supposed to work, and it makes the virus or malicious software very difficult to remove. More malware can download onto your computer while you are running scans to remove it!
You need to run your computer in the “safe mode with networking” to update your software and remove the problem.
Turn your computer off, then re-start. As soon as you turn it back on, hit the F8 key a few times. You will come to a menu that gives you several start up options,. Choose “Safe Mode with networking”.
When you are in the safe Mode, go to your Start menu, All Programs, and start your antivirus software. Do a manual update, then run a complete scan. That should take care of the problem. If that does not remove the problem 100%, go to http://antivirus-firewall-software.tech.… and follow the directions there to remove the malware or virus infection. Be sure to follow all the steps carefully.
You may need to un-install and then re-install Kapersky to fix it. Do this in the Safe Mode with networking.
