My Nortin Security Subscription Has Expired. Will Using My Yahoo Online Protection Be Enough To Keep It Safe?

No. I think your ‘Yahoo online protection’ only ‘protects’ you while you’re using Yahoo mail. It won’t do a thing when you’re anywhere else on the internet.
If you pay for an anti-virus program then it will give you pretty good protection against most other common forms of malware. The free AVs can be a bit limited in this area, so you’ll need an anti-spyware program, too. AVG Anti-Spyware and SuperAntiSpyware are reasonably good freebies, but are only re-active, i.e. they won’t stop the crap getting on but they should detect and delete most of it if it gets on. SpywareBlaster can help stop the crap getting on.
If your Norton Security includes a firewall, you’ll need one if you ditch Norton. OnlineArmor and Comodo are among the best (better than Norton) and are free.
Whatever AV, etc, you have, you also need to make sure programs such as Flash player, Adobe Reader, QuickTime, Java are kept up-to-date as this is where a lot of ‘viruses’ are coming in. Secunia PSI scans your pc and tells you what’s out-of-date and provides links to update it.
