I used direct deposit on my tax return and according to IRS website schedule the payment should’ve been sent 7 weeks ago…..
I successfully verified my eligibility information on the IRS website, but still, I have no news what-so-ever from IRS. No notice or payment! Plus, in their “Stimulus Package Hotline” the automatic machine answered: “no information can be provided at this time”….

Did you use a third party preparation service – either software or a tax preparer – like Turbo Tax, H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt etc? Most likely you will be getting a paper check. See other questions and answers for the reasons why.
If the website where you input your social security number, filing status and number of exemptions says, “No information at this time,” that means they have not processed your rebate yet. If the last two digits of your social security number are between 64 and 99, then they have not processed your rebate and you are on their schedule to be processed in the next two weeks.
If your numbers are less than 64, then your return has been delayed for some reason.
If you filed late, then that would delay your rebate. If there was a question on your return, that would delay your rebate. If you have a garnishment of some sort – like owing back taxes, child support or student loan, that could delay your rebate.
Wait until after July 15th, and if the web site has not updated with any information by that time, then call the IRS. FYI – call volumes are up 40% at the IRS, so if you try calling you will wait on hold a while.
