Open A Checking Account Online?

I just turned 18. I am wanting to open up a checking account, but can never get a ride to the bank. So is there any legit way i can get one online? Also, i don’t have a driver’s license. So is there a way i can open one up with just my Social Security #? Or will i have to go get an ID? Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  yes u can open account online, i think any big bank like wamu, Bank of america or citi bank will do it online…..as far as drivers license i dont kno if u need it to open the account , but hey u r 18 so i say go get one anyways ….

  Checking accounts can be opened online. You will need to provide some ID. However, I do not know whether a state ID is needed or will accept a school ID and some proof of address.
