Question On Website Security?
Hello, I recently started a website, and i’m using packaged scripts to run certain functions, they’re not up-to-date.My website got hacked and was overlaoding the server, so my webhoster had to shut me down. Apparently some douche hacked it to spread spam to my mailing list. does enyone know where I can get advice in closing up security holes, and take better security measures? any website out there? thanks very much
Download Nessus and run a security audit on your webserver. It will show you vulnerabilities, and other useful info.
go here and read there forum and help files. TechRepublic they have very good info that will help you out. good luck.
