Website Security Testing?

I’m very interested in website security, it’s what I would like to go to school for. I know many different types of web vulnerabilities, but does anyone know of a web scanner that scans for vulnerabilities? I know there are many but I’m looking for something free, that isn’t so basic. Thanks in advance.
