Type services.msc click oK. in the services window, search for the SYMANTEC CORE LC. it should be STARTED and AUTOMATIC, if it is not, then double click on that and change it to started and automatic. Click OK. change the computer date to four days back. Restart the computer and then run the LiveUpdate. it will DEFINITELY Fix the issue. then change the date to correct. if you do not have subscription, run the norton removal tool from the web link http://www.symantec.com/nrt and then click Start > Run. Type regedit click OK. Click on the + mark near HKEY LOCAL MACHINE > Software > Symantec. Delete that Symantec. Now, open "My Computer" > C Drive > Documents and Settings > All users > Application data > Symantec. Delete the Symantec folder. Now, open <My Computer > C Drive > Program files > Common files > Symantec Shared. Delete the Symantec Shared.
