Would It Be Against Company Rules For Me To Invest Online?

If my dad has his securities license with a company, does it break thier rules if I buy stocks online not using him? This may sound weird but I know they have some strange rules.
Thanks in advance

Interesting question. I guess the best option would be just not to tell anyone, especially not your dad. He might very well fell really hurt that you would not place your orders through him.

It would depend on what you invested in…you can be certain that if you invested in any company your father does business with and you made any money, the SEC might want to “talk with you”…

No, you can do whatever you want.
